Catherine strives to achieve a real connection with all her students, being sensitive to the energy in the room and the individual needs of those in her class.
This will often influence the style and format of each class, encouraging students to safely challenge, nurture and explore themselves in mind, body and spirit.
Everyone is welcome. My aim is to bring yoga to the average person. You don't have to be fit, strong or even flexible but will be encouraged to work within your physical capacity to develop a practice at your own individual pace.
We are all unique and so poses and other practices need to be customized to suit individual needs. The classes are based on the understanding that postures should be performed so that there is a balance between effort and rest, tension and relaxation, strength and flexibility.
To achieve this balance for each person requires individual adaptation of the poses and an experienced teacher is very helpful.
